Background
My professional and personal background has been somewhat of a creative kaleidoscope of interconnecting and overlapping careers, interests, adventures and avocations. Which either means I couldn’t make up my mind and settle on any one creative pursuit, or just maybe I see the edges between creative disciplines to be a bit blurred.
I spent 40 years in corporate commercial art and advertising — as a designer as well as a copywriter. I worked in theater as a playwright, actor and director for more than 20 years. I made my living for some years as a professional musician—beginning in my teens—and have continued to write, record and perform music right up to the present day.
No, the math doesn’t add up to 117 years.
I’ve written everything from short stories, poems, and songs to plays, video scripts and presentations. From direct mail to web content. I’ve scripted, produced and voiced advertising for TV and radio, as well as designing posters, greeting cards and book and CD covers.
It’s been a long an interesting road.
I’m not done yet.
